Makes for immersive visuals but difficult to read health etc displays. Game HUD may go to the very edges of the screen. If it bothers you, you can try to reduce it by running at say 3840x1440 or 3440x1440. Some games are worse at this than others, some will not have this issue at all. This will elongate objects near the edges and is caused by the game's FOV implementation. Many games will show lens distortion at the edges. Some like Control don't support the resolution out of the box but can be patched or config modded. Many games run just fine with the full resolution and aspect ratio. So you can look at 4K benchmarks and add a bit more frames on top of that to figure out roughly how your GPU is going to perform. Resolution is ~1M pixels less than 4K 16:9.
